How Do You Approach Personal Care?

We uphold everyone’s right to ‘privacy and dignity’; this is of the highest importance and is respected at all times. All consultations are held in private with health care professionals and other advocates such as social workers or legal/financial advisors.

Do You Get Full Medical Support?

Residents always have the right to privacy when with friends or relatives, with the option to entertain guests in their own rooms. There is also access to a full range of external services, offered by associated health care professionals. These include doctors, district nurses, physiotherapists, dentists, continence advisors, nutritionists, chiropodists and other community health services.

Clear and Open Communication

With our ‘open door’ informal approach we encourage direct communication between residents, relatives and our care home management. This enables the fast and efficient resolution of issues, with a minimum of disruption to resident’s lives and feelings.

Transparent Complaints Procedure

There is a simple and clear formal complaints procedure in place at Wetley Manor Care Home. This outlines how to complain, who to complain to, the timescale for responses, and details for contacting the Care Quality Commission if a complaint remains unresolved.

Comprehensive Care Plans

To ensure that each resident’s health care needs are met, we utilise a full system of care planning and reviews. This is combined with specialist input from various health care professionals.

The ‘back bone’ of this system are the individualised care plans that are reviewed on an ongoing basis. Care plans are supported by documentation that records the individual health care matters of each resident. For more information, please contact our friendly team today.
